Family or personal reasons
Unforeseen family reasons have occurred or worsened after you accepted your offer, are beyond your control and mean you are unable to continue or successfully complete your studies. You need to substantiate how the circumstances impact you personally and make it impracticable for you to complete your studies.
Examples:
- Death or serious illness of a close family member (e.g. parent, sibling, spouse or child) or friend
- Being a victim of a severe crime or accident
Examples of supporting documentation:
- Letter or professional statement from a medical practitioner, counsellor, police or social worker
- Death certificate/funeral notice
- Flight tickets if you have returned or are returning home
